Interested in getting more business and packaging your products, experiences or venues for the meetings market?

Meetings and Conventions Prince Edward Island, in cooperation with the Cavendish, Beaches and the Dune Shores Tourism Association, Central Coastal Tourism Partnership, TIAPEI and the Tourism Advisory Council (TAC), are hosting a business-to-business MC&IT marketplace.

The event will held at the Delta Prince Edward, Wednesday, March 7th, 2012.

The day will begin with a perspective on Meetings and Conventions with a Strategy 2015 lens, presented by TAC and a Meetings and Conventions PEI overview of business opportunities in this market.

This will be followed by Key Note Speaker, Lynn Buckley of Agenda Managers - www.agendamanagers.com -  a leading meeting planning company based out of Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Following the presentations, the business-to-business marketplace will begin.

The marketplace will be divided into two business groups – Sellers and Buyers. Space is limited, so both groups are encouraged to register early.

Sellers are defined as Tourism Events, Restaurant/Culinary, Retail/Gift, Golf, Attractions, Tour/Activity and Entertainment based businesses that have product to offer to the buyers.
Sellers will be seated at booths and will take appointments with the buyers.
Registration deadline for sellers is February 15th.

Buyers are defined as Accommodations, Transportation, Tour Operators or Tourism Packagers that wish to develop package offerings for their clients. Buyers will request appointments prior to the event with the Sellers who are seated at the booths.
Registration deadline for buyers is February 29th.

We are now offering a Sessions Only Ticket that provides access to the presentations before the Marketplace appointment for those just interested in that part of our event. Come join us and see what it’s all about.

The Partnership

Meetings and Conventions PEI, in cooperation with the Cavendish, Beaches and the Dune Shores Tourism Association, and with support from the broader Tourism Industry Association of PEI and the Tourism Advisory Council, are hosting this forum for tourism packaging in the meetings and conventions sector.
 

Who Should Attend?

Any Island business with an interest in offering their products or services to the meeting and conventions market is invited to participate in a series of brief, pre-scheduled one-on-one meetings with potential partners.

Register Early!!!

We encourage selling businesses to register early to have the best chance of reserving a meeting booth – there are only 28 available for this inaugural event.  Packaging businesses are encouraged to register early in order to have the best chance of securing their preferred seller appointment requests. 
 

The Appointment Format

There will be 10 appointment slots available for each registrant, of 8 minutes each – 8 predetermined with sellers from requests from Buyers (first come, first serve), and 2 open appointments that can be scheduled that day.  Upon completion of registration, buyers will be contacted via email to complete an online appointment request form, selecting from the list of registered sellers.  Both buyers and sellers will receive their list of appointments prior to the event.
